General Passholder Information

  • ItaliaPass is a membership program designed to enhance your travel experience in Italy. Passholders enjoy over $650 of value through exclusive discounts, access to unique experiences, and premium support services to ensure a stress-free and unforgettable trip.

  • Your ItaliaPass is valid for one year from the date of purchase. During this period, you can utilize all the Perks and services included in your ItaliaPass.

  • Passes are non-transferrable. However, if you purchase multiple ItaliaPasses they can be transferred to your travel companions by reaching out to us at members@italiapass.com.

  • ItaliaPass works just like admission tickets: each traveler needs their own pass to unlock the Perks.

    Solo traveler? Buy one.

    Traveling with a partner or a group? Purchase one ItaliaPass and add Companion Passes for everyone else. Companions enjoy the same Perks and tours, with the exception of the $50 ItaliaRail discount and the $100 ItaliaTours credit.

  • Yes, you can renew your ItaliaPass before or after it expires by purchasing an additional Pass. If you renew before the expiration date, your existing Member ID will remain valid.

  • Apply your Member ID by entering it in the "Are you a member?" field when booking tickets for the Uffizi and Accademia Galleries. For companions, consider purchasing a Companion Pass to extend these Perks.

  • For most attractions, you must pre-book your tickets online to ensure availability. Your ItaliaPass provides priority entry once booked.

  • As a Passholder, you’ll receive a one-year subscription to Italy Magazine Premium, featuring curated articles, recipes, travel guides, and insider tips to make your Italian journey even more special.

  • ItaliaPass includes RailAid® trip protection, offering emergency medical coverage and refunds for eligible high-speed train disruptions.

  • Yes, the discounts and perks associated with ItaliaPass are specific to travel in Italy.

Redeeming Pass Perks

  • For travel bookings:

    • ItaliaRail: Get $50 refunded on your first booking over $50 (processed automatically) and $5 refunded on all future bookings (processed automatically).
    • ItaliaTours: Use the promo code from your welcome email to get $100 off your first tour booking and use your Member ID for 10% off future tours.
    • Hotels: Email members@italiapass.com to access discounted rates and personalized hotel recommendations.
  • For your first booking over $50, the $50 refund will be processed within 2 business days. If the booking is less than $50 or includes multiple Passholders, forward your confirmation email to members@italiapass.com for assistance.

    If you purchase ItaliaPass in conjunction with a rail purchase on italiarail.com, the $50 rail perks is applied immediately in the form of a discounted ItaliaPass (normally $149.00).

  • Use the promo code provided in your welcome email to claim $100 off your first tour booking. For future bookings, apply your Member ID at checkout for a 10% discount.

    Note: this offer only applies to tours, not driver services (transfers).

  • If you forgot to use your promo code or Member ID, email members@italiapass.com with your booking details to check if the discount can be applied retroactively.

  • If your purchase includes multiple Passholders, forward your confirmation email to members@italiapass.com for assistance.

  • No, ItaliaPass Perks are intended for the individual Passholder only. For companions, consider purchasing a Companion Pass.

  • Pass Perks cannot be stacked. Each purchase can only apply one eligible discount or refund.

Companion Pass

  • The Companion Pass is an add-on pass for individuals traveling with an ItaliaPass holder. It offers access to select Perks, allowing your travel companion to enjoy VIP experiences alongside you.

  • You can purchase the Companion Pass during the checkout process for your ItaliaPass or as a standalone add-on through the ItaliaPass website.

  • No, each Companion Pass is tied to a single companion and cannot be shared or transferred.

  • Yes, companions can purchase their own ItaliaPass membership at any time to access the full range of benefits.

RailAid Trip Protection

  • RailAid® provides emergency medical coverage, refunds for canceled high-speed train tickets, and more. Activation is automatic with your membership, but you may need to complete additional forms depending on the service.

  • RailAid® covers medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and high-speed train cancellations. For full details, see the RailAid page.

  • RailAid® is primarily designed for high-speed train bookings. For additional details, contact support@italiapass.com.

Using your ItaliaPass

  • The ItaliaPass Lounge is located at the start of Track 25 in Rome’s Termini Station.

    To reach the lounge from the main hall on the Piazza dei Cinqucento, walk all the way along the tracks to the right until you see the start of Track 25.  The lounge is to the right, opposite Track 25 and near Tracks 26-29.

  • Yes! Your ItaliaPass is valid for one year and can be used for unlimited trips within that period.

  • Priority access is generally available year-round; however, it's advisable to check the specific attraction's official website or contact support@italiapass.com for any updates on access during holidays or special events.

Policies and Refunds

  • We offer a 100% refund policy. If you're not satisfied with your ItaliaPass, email members@italiapass.com within one year of purchase to request a full refund, less any redeemed Pass Perks.

  • Refunds and discounts offered through ItaliaPass cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.

  • No, there are no additional fees for refunds, but the refund amount will be reduced by any redeemed Pass Perks.
