When you purchase your ItaliaPass Primo membership, during checkout you will be asked to provide the date of your arrival in Italy. This will be the date your eSIM is activated.

Your ItaliaPass Primo membership includes 2GB of data for 30 days from the date you specify as your arrival date in Italy. The 2GB of data is available throughout Europe.

After you purchase your ItaliaPass Primo membership, the eSIM provider will send you an email with instructions on how to install and activate your eSIM. You can also access the instructions here.

Your eSIM will function wherever there is cell phone coverage within the country or countries where your eSIM is authorized for use.

You can transfer your eSIM to another member of your travel group by forwarding them the eSIM activation email you receive after completing your ItaliaPass Primo purchase for the eSIM you would like to transfer.

How do I check if my phone is network-unlocked?

  • Access the “Settings” app on your phone and navigate to the “General” section and then select “About”
  • Scroll down to “Carrier Lock” if you see “No SIM restrictions” then your phone is unlocked
  • Open the “Settings” app on your Android device
  • Look for the “Connections” or “Network & Internet” option
  • Within this section, you should find a menu item labeled “Mobile Networks” or “SIM Card & Mobile Network”
  • Tap on “Network Operators” or a similar option, and then select it
  • Your phone will search for available networks
  • If multiple networks are displayed, your phone is likely unlocked
